Vacuum Gauge
The atmospheric pressure or the ambient pressure is regarded as zero. The pressures higher than zero are regarded as positive gauge pressures, and the pressures lower than zero are regarded as negative gauge pressures. Vacuum gauges are designed for measurement of negative gauge pressures.
